Personal Protection Feature - Defendingwomen.com
I just wanted a simple can of mace or pepper spray in my hand when I go to my car late at night. I feel safer having some deterrent with me. I thought it would be simple to buy one but it turned out to be difficult: so many choices, so many vendors. Brand after brand, feature after feature I got buried in the pile of numbers to compare and was completely confused what pepper spray to buy. Plus, I really hated that all vendors tried to scare me first, posting stories about rapes and mugging and how girls get abused. Would you shop on the site that greet you with a horrid photo of a beaten-up woman's face? I sure did not! Is there a vendor who sells self-defense gadgets to women, who has a friendly website, who does not overwhelm you with numbers and features and cheers you up? It turned out there are few of those. Check them out: DefendingWomen.com, Womenonguard.com, DefenseMakeSense.com.
Feel free to check them out but I liked DefendingWomen the most because the website was very friendly for women, they had the best prices and a lot of advice on how to use it. The best of all was their pricing when you buy pepper spray: if you buy 2 cans - the price drops, if 3 - even lower. They say you need one can to practice and they are absolutely right. Buying pepper spray in bulk?Lucky you, you'll get it very cheap. DefendingWomen also have many coupons and gifts sprinkled on their pages. I like DefendingWomen.com a lot, it's worth you visit!

Go Freestyle with New Coke Dispenser
Called the Freestyle, this high-tech soda fountain was created by Coca-Cola and software corporation Bsquare. With its touchscreen user interface and "highly concentrated flavor cartridges," the Freestyle saves space ordinarily taken up by traditional fountains' bulky dispenser box and containers of syrup and carbonated water. After punching a few on-screen buttons, one of over 100 beverages is poured into your expectant glass. Even more recipes, the video promises, are available for download. So, go ahead. Plug up that machine and pour yourself a lime-flavored Coke Classic or a raspberry-flavored Diet Coke. You can even play a drinking game; take a sip every time ol' Spinal Tap dude blinks. Just be prepared to wait a while.

Sony's Newest Portable Gamer
If you want to quickly understand Sony’s PSP Go ($250, coming Oct. 1), just think of the rule of two. Compared with the regular PSP, it is 50 percent smaller, but it costs costs twice as much as Nintendo’s DS, which is outselling it by 100 percent. The new form factor is twice as cool as the older, more clunky PSP 3000, meaning you’re also twice as likely to make room for one next to your phone.Technorati Tags: sony, gaming, portable, ds, nintendo
At the center of Sony’s PSP thinking is Media Go, Sony’s iTunes-like content manager. Once it is installed on your Windows computer you can drag and drop your movies, songs and videos onto the Go’s 16 gigabytes of memory, while archiving big files, like movies or games, on your computer’s hard drive. Like an iPod or MP3 player, you’ll be able to sync the PSP Go using a optional cradle.
What about that UMD disk collection sitting on the shelf? According to Al de Leon, manager of public relations for Sony Computer Entertainment America, “Sony and our publishing partners are looking into the opportunity to offer downloadable versions of games previously released on UMD.” In addition, all UMD titles made starting Oct. 1 will have a download equivalent. Reading between the line, the UMD was a battery-burning dud that Sony had to dump.
Here are some more PSP Go notes. For other E3 news from Sony this year, read this article, or check out the discussion boards at Playstation.com.

Although lately media has got me out and about.
The watch was photographed for St Moritz Watches.
Photographed using a 4"x5" Linhof Large format Camera.
It's a fine camera, but it has a lot of overhead because it needs a very large depth of field, but it's worth the extra work.
All of my watch photographs are analogue.
The Sport-Check Store was photographed for Vitrum Glass.
This like many of my other pieces lately is an Architectural Glass study.
Photographed using a Canon 20D digital Camera.
This Retro Fashion photograph was inspired by a mid 1930's Maybelline Ad.
Photographed using a Rollieflex medium format camera.

Personal Protection - Stun Gun Supply
Consumers have been buying TASERs for their own protection for several years. Now a new high tech model has filtered down from the police ranks. The patrolman's favorite, the TASER X26, is now available for citizens to buy as the TASER model X26C.
It not only looks like the police version, it has many of the features too. Like the police model, it is lightweight and software upgradeable. The consumer model has a 15 feet maximum throw, while the police version can go up to 30 feet. The X26C has a 30 second on cycle, enough time to run away. The police model has a shorter cycle because law enforcement quickly move in to apprehend the suspect. The TASER can be used like a stun gun in a close-up encounter.
This is the first consumer TASER to feature a sophisticated readout of vital information. You can track battery level, energy remaining on the digital power magazine and time in use. The TASER contains all the safety controls that all TASERs contain such as serialized paper tags. Twenty to thirty of these tags deploy during an actual TASER activation. Law enforcement can later retrieve this confetti from the scene and contact TASER International to get the name of the owner of the TASER device, allowing police to track any potential misuse. That's one reason new owners must register their product with TASER International.

LazyMan™ - Technology for Your Lawn
The aeration portion of LazyMan Liquid Gold™ is a uniquely formulated high grade non-ionic lawn aerator. It helps reduce crusting, loosens up hard clay soils, aggregates sandy soil, and allows water and oxygen to better reach plant roots by reducing the surface tension between the water and the soil. LazyMan Liquid Gold™ is designed to decrease the surface tension between water and soil while improving the growth and activity of micro-organisms necessary for a healthy soil environment. Best of all, it is so easy to use even a Lazy Man can do it!
Using a lawn aerator is one of the keys to healthy grass growth. It permits essential water, air and nutrients to penetrate deep into the root zone (where they are needed). The deeper healthier root systems created generate thicker, greener grass. The enhanced functioning of the soils natural organic processes means that there is reduced need for fertilization.
